Spirits of 99 Finish 4th in State Cup Super 8

(Posted: 12/22/2009) Congratulations to Spirits of 99 Blue for a great finish to the 2009 season. On Saturday in Woodland the Spirits battled the Mustang Magic through an intense match... 0-0 at the end of regulation, 0-0 after an additional 10 minutes of golden goal, but finally defeated in PKs. The girls played a great game and absolutely earned their 4th place rank in the Super bracket of the NorCal State Cup. This finish was a great accomplishment for the 2009 season given the team started the year ranked 18th. It is so exciting to be competing at this level.
Congratulations to the Spirits of 99 players, their coaches and supportive families for a year of amazing growth and development!!!
