First-round draft pick Amobi Okugo of the Philadelphia Union takes the stand after being drafted 6th overall in the 2010 MLS Superdraft on January 14, 2010 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

Amobi Okugo, member of the San Juan Lightning 91 has signed with Major League Soccer as part of its Generation Adidas Program (GA).   Players who join MLS as part of the Program receive unprecedented opportunities to develop their game and hone their skills at the professional level in Major League Soccer.  In addition to training and playing with one of Major League Soccer's 16 professional clubs, GA players receive educational grants to further their college education.

Shonna Fraser commits to scholarship at Creighton University

(Posted: 1/26/2010) "I moved here in the summer of 2007 from Dallas, Texas where I played for the Dallas Texans Soccer Club. My parents and I decided the best fit would be the San Juan Club and to play on Billy Wiskel’s ‘92 team because they would continue to develop and prepare me for the next level. Coach Wiskel has taught me many things and gave me valuable guidance achieving my scholarship to Creighton University. I would like to give a big thanks to Billy for everything he has done for me.  I loved playing for the San Juan club and the Coaches. I am thankful for the many people that it brought into my life."
